What we build

Homes designed around the way you live.

Whether you're replacing a tired bungalow, building on a plot you own or adding an annexe for family, a new build is the biggest project most people ever take on. We take ownership of it end to end — design, planning, engineering, construction and handover.

  • Replacement dwellings — demolishing and rebuilding on the same plot
  • Self-build and infill plots — a new home on land you own
  • Annexes — independent living space for family
  • Structural warranty — a 10-year structural warranty on every new build

Planning

Know the constraints before you design.

Much of south Buckinghamshire and south-west Hertfordshire is Green Belt, and the Chilterns National Landscape covers large areas of both counties. Replacement dwellings in the Green Belt are usually limited to a size that isn't materially larger than the house they replace, and design quality is scrutinised closely in protected landscapes and conservation areas.

That's why we appraise the planning position before any design work — so you invest in a scheme with a real chance of approval.

FAQs

Questions we're often asked

Can you build on a plot I already own?

Yes. We'll appraise the plot — access, services, ground conditions and planning — before any design work starts.

Do you help find land?

We can advise on plots you're considering buying, including a pre-purchase feasibility visit.

How long does a new build take?

Typically 9–14 months on site, plus design and planning time. We agree a programme before work starts.

What warranty do new builds come with?

Every AMH new build comes with a 10-year structural warranty. Your mortgage lender will usually require one.
