What we build outside

Groundwork first, then the finish.

Terraces & patios

Porcelain and natural stone laid on proper sub-bases, with falls and drainage.

Walls & steps

Retaining walls, raised beds and steps that level sloping gardens.

Lawns, fencing & planting

New turf, fencing and borders to finish the garden.

Drainage

Channel drains, soakaways and permeable surfaces that keep water away from the house.

FAQs

Questions we're often asked

Do I need planning permission for a patio?

Generally not for a rear patio at ground level. Raised platforms over 30 cm high and front gardens have extra rules — see our driveway rules guide.

Porcelain or natural stone?

Porcelain is harder-wearing and easier to keep clean; natural sandstone and limestone have more character. We'll bring samples to your site visit.

Can you landscape the garden after our extension?

Yes — and planning both together means the terrace level, drainage and doors all line up perfectly.
